Educating Our Community
The Wesley Medical Center Education Services Department is dedicated to helping educate individuals in our area on good health habits, health needs and healthy lifestyles. We employ a full-time Community Educator whose goal it is to organize health education classes, seminars, health screenings, health fairs, speaker's bureau engagements and more throughout our community.
The Community Educator also provides American Heart Association certification courses in CPR and First Aid to local businesses, schools, clinics, day care centers and other. Plus, Healthcare and Heartsaver (Lay Rescuer) classes are also available through Wesley.
To obtain more information about health screenings or seminars, certification and non-certification courses, health topics and health fairs, please contact the Wesley Medical Center Education Services Department. We are conveniently located in the Institute for Wellness and Sports Medicine (IWSM) on the west side of the campus. Ample parking is available, and the office is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can also reach our Community Educator by phone at 601-268-5056 or via e-mail at nita.williamson@wesley.com.
