Dr. Charles Griffith, family practice physician with Wesley Medical Group, has been recognized as the service physician champion. This designation is bestowed upon the physician who demonstrates a commitment to providing the highest level of service to patients, fellow physicians and hospital staff.

Dr. Troy McIntire, OB/GYN with Women’s Pavilion, was named quality physician champion. Quality physicians are recognized for their completion of an H & P and an informed consent 24 hours prior to a procedure, completion of a post-op note immediately following a procedure, and no more than two outliers for core measures. These physicians are also known for their dedication and support of core measure initiatives at the hospital. |

Dr. Duncan Donald, general surgeon with Southern Surgical Associates, was named documentation physician champion. A documentation physician champion is one who writes legibly, dates and times orders and progress notes accurately, avoids the use unacceptable abbreviations, completes a history and physical within 24 hours and writes the discharge summary prior to patient’s discharge. |
“We love all of our physicians at Wesley,” says Wesley CNO Andrea Brenn, who also serves as the physician satisfaction committee chair. “Which is why we want to recognize those physicians who really excel at what they do.”
