Jim Young has been named Chief Financial Officer for Wesley Medical Center.

Since 2008, Jim was responsible for all accounting and financial functions along with oversight of health information management, case management, hospital compliance, purchasing, information systems and the business office at Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center in Amory, Mississippi.

Young earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Delta State University and began his career with Young, Parkerson & Co., CPA in Greenville. He began his work in the medical field with The Greenville Clinic where he was Chief Financial Officer. Jim served as Chief Financial Officer at Alliance Healthcare System in Holly Springs, Mississippi; McNairy Regional Hospital in Selmer, Tennessee; Harris Hospital in Newport, Arkansas; Southwest Regional Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas and Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center in Hartsville, South Carolina.

"I am excited about this opportunity with Wesley Medical Center and believe my extensive experience in a variety of hospitals and hospital systems will serve me well in the position of Chief Financial Officer," said Young. "My family and I are pleased to be making our home in Hattiesburg."

Jim and his wife, the former Susan Brewer, are natives of Greenville, Mississippi. Jim has five children; Megan, 15; Burland, 12; Brewer, 10; Blair 8 and Brock 3.
