Nutrition Services

• Physician-Referred Medical Nutrition Therapy for Diabetes and Weight Management. A registered Dietitian will provide one-on-one assessment and diet instruction to help clients follow a special diet and improve their eating pattern to manage their medical condition.

• IWSM “New Member” Nutrition Evaluation. New members receive one (1) free nutrition evaluation from the Registered Dietitian. Call 601-268-8095 to schedule an appointment.

• Monthly Nutrition Class. This is an informative class that covers a wide range of exciting and healthful topics on nutrition and how your body and lifestyle can change from better nutrition practices. The class meets the third Wednesday of each month at 10:15 a.m. in the Aerobics room. Register for the class and inquire for current topics at the front desk. Free for members and $5 for non-members.

• Individual Nutrition Counseling. If you are seeking additional information on how to lose weight, reduce your cholesterol or high blood pressure, plan healthy meals for you and your family, manage your diabetes, or simply improve your overall health, a Registered Dietitian will provide individualized counseling to meet your specific needs. Cost per 30 minute session: Members: $20, Non-members: $30
